Buakaw

The best Thai Kickboxer of all time is Baukaw Por Pramuk. His born name is Sombat Banchamek and he was born in Surin, Thailand. He fights out of the Por Pramuk Muay ThaiGym in Bangkok.

Baukaw is the most successful Thai fighter in history in world kickboxing championships. He is also the best Thai fighter to have made it out of Thailand to fight in the prestigious K-1 arena.

His fighting style is unique, and powerful His greatest move is his switch left kick, which he throws with vicious speed and power

RI Muay Thai

Buakaw has been the World Champion in 2006. He is still an active fighter and has fought 5 times in 2011. He is on an 11 fight winning streak, winning fourteen of last 15. The only person to beat Buakaw twice is the legendary Andy Souwer.

Many people think that the only way Souwer (and other dutch kickboxers) are able to beat Buakaw is because only Dutch Kickboxing has a heavy hands emphasis, wheras Muay Thai kickboxing has fewer rules, and places more emphasis on elbows and knees to the head.

Rhode Island Muay Thai

Buakaw is a big kicker, and has usually relies heavily on his legs to carry him through his fights. One of his most legendary fights ever occurred in K-1 two years ago when he fought a very tough Brazilian named Andre Dida. During the first round, Dida came out and stunned Buakaw early, catching him with several brutal hooks to the head. Buakaw, however, being the beast that he is, ate the punches in stride and survived the round. Rounds 2 and three were quite different, as Dida had punched himself out in the first round, seeing Buakaw hurt and trying to beat him.
